many thanks to everyone who didn't let a bit of rain put them off coming along and supporting the Spring Fayre. It was a great afternoon with the 3 marquees and the church looking lovely with bunting and flowers, we raised a terrific £577! £135 has been donated to Hospiscare and the rest will be divided between the church fabric fund and future village events once a few basic expenses have been covered.
We'd really like to thank those who helped in advance and on the day, a great team effort and lots of fun too (especially the adventures of the vicar, a large red van & six bikers!) so thanks to - Di & Bri, Tony & Gwynn, Jane & Micky, Phil & Dawn, Geoff Buck, Sally & Mike, Tom & Mark, Margot, Judi Grainger, Sue, Carol, Marion, Cyrena, Clive, Will, Fay, Fee, Merriel, David Colwill all the stall holders, Devon Garden Machinery for two of the marquees, The Lux Harmonium & Matt Moore who came & played music for us for free (Matt is only 15 & his Mom drove him back from Cornwall specially so he could play) everyone who baked scones & cakes and who donated prizes, books and bric-a-brac & last but not least of course our special vicar John :>)
many thanks
Graham & Kate
