A few weeks ago we sent out a circular email to see if anyone would like a stall for the Fete or if anyone could contribute fund-raising ideas, stalls, game ideas or pony rides, barbecue, raffle & tombola prizes, music, gazebos, cakes etc. We have only had one person reply and so this is a gentle reminder. We have lots of ideas for village fete games eg, splat the rat, stocks etc but we really need help to make the games & run them or help with contacts (eg Round Table?) where we can borrow the game stalls from. Please can you contact me and let me know by 30th April if and where you are able to help as without some firm indications of where people can join in we cant move forward (and we will need to cancel the freely-donated marquee) All funds raised at the fete are for the Church Fabric Funds & for future village events.
Also we shall be holding Open Gardens & a Plant Sale on July 21st in aid of Save The Children & The Church Fabric Fund, if you would like to take part or will have some plants for the sale please let me know. For both events please contact Graham on 01803 875527 or [email protected] Another terrific Villages In Action event with Amadou & Gris with their special guest Omer, great turn out too, they are doing a short tour in Somerset soon so try & catch them there. March was the last but one film night & what a brilliant Film it was 'Cinema Paradiso' only a small turn out for this one which was a real shame as several people thought it was the best film of the series so far. We are back in April with the viewers choice, if you'd like to be kept up to date please email [email protected]
Hello & Happy New Year to you all, we kick off our new Film Nights on Saturday January 12th & then continue every second Saturday until April, our first live event is March 2nd with the wonderful Amadou & Gris, don't forget if you'd like to know which films are showing and to be kept up to date on events just email us at [email protected]
